Training /  Pairs - Attacking straight in the front (60 mins)

    • Description:

      One player feeds from the side wall, the other starts on the T and moves into the front corner to play a straight drop

    • Exercise Notes:2 minutes each side, concentrating on using the strings to take the ball in softly

    • Minutes on exercise:8:00

    • Description:

      Both players play straight drives with the option of taking the ball in short with a straight drop only.

    • Exercise Notes:Play to 7 each side, focusing on taking the ball in only when in front of your opponent

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:

      Both players play straight drives with the option of either player taking the ball in short with a straight drop, which has to be followed by a counter drop before the rally resets.

    • Exercise Notes:Play to 7 each side, adding the ability to play a straight counter drop

      One player feeds from the back of the court, the other starts at the short line and plays a straight kill

    • Exercise Notes:2 minutes each side, focus on hitting down on the ball to kill the ball short

    • Minutes on exercise:8:00

      Both players play straight drives with the option of either player playing a straight kill

    • Exercise Notes:Play to 7 each side, focusing on hitting down on the ball to kill the ball short

      One player feeds from the side wall, the other starts on the T and moves across to play a straight volley drop

    • Exercise Notes:2 minutes each side, focusing on getting the racket high and keeping the racket face open on the downswing

      Full length alley game with the ability to take the ball in short when you're in an attacking position i.e in front of your opponent

    • Exercise Notes:Play to 11 each side, aiming to implement the various types of straight attacking shots practised during the session
