Training /  Solo - Developing ball control (30 mins)

Doing this session regularly will improve your ball skill and lead to an improvement in your test scores. It can easily be combined with a short court sprint or ghosting session to give a 45 minute solo of significant benefit.

    • Description:

      Hit continuous drives into the service box

    • Exercise Notes: Do 3 minutes on the forehand and 3 minutes on the backhand.

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:

      Stand on the short line and hit continuous volleys from one side wall to the other.

    • Exercise Notes:Do the exercise for 3 minutes.

    • Minutes on exercise:3:00

    • Description:

      Stand just in front of the T and hit continuous volleys that hit front wall, side wall making the ball return back to the middle.

    • Exercise Notes:Do the exercise for 2 minutes.

    • Minutes on exercise:2:00

    • Description:

      Stand just in front of the T and hit continous volleys that go front wall, side wall so the ball comes back to the same spot. Take the ball in short as and when you wish.

    • Exercise Notes:Do the exercise for 2 minutes.

    • Minutes on exercise:2:00

    • Description:

      Stand 2 racket lengths from the corner and hit continuous volleys that go side wall, front wall, front wall, side wall.

       

    • Exercise Notes:Do the exercise for 2 minutes.

    • Minutes on exercise:2:00

    • Description:

      Hit counter drops within the same corner. Experiment with the racket face, use top spin, side spin as well as cutting underneath the ball.

    • Exercise Notes:Do 2 minutes each side.

    • Minutes on exercise:4:00

    • Description:

      Start and the front wall and work towards the back wall hitting continuous volleys. 

    • Exercise Notes:Do the exercise for 2 minutes each side.
