Training /  Pairs - Developing your high volley (40 mins)

    • Description:

      Routine where players stand in opposite back corners and hit a cross volley lob to their partner. 

    • Exercise Notes:2 minutes each side

    • Description:

      Routine where players stand in opposite back corners and hit a straight volley to themselves and then a cross volley lob to their partner. 

    • Exercise Notes:2 minutes each side

    • Description:

      Routine where the order of shots is boast, cross lob and then straight volley drive. If the volley is not possible, straight drive instead. 

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes each side

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:

      In this pairs practice the first player hits a cross court feed to their partner who plays a straight volley drop, followed by a cross court feed back to the first player. The practice goes on until the players decide to swap sides. 

    • Exercise Notes:4 minutes each side

    • Description:

      Conditioned game where you can only hit the ball above the service line and deep unless you volley, which gives you the option to go short with a volley drop. 

    • Exercise Notes:Play to 11

    • Minutes on exercise:8:00

    • Description:

      Conditioned game where you can play anywhere on court but the ball must hit the front wall above the service line. You can only go below the line if you volley.
