Training /  Coach Feeds - Pre tournament sharpening session (60 mins)

    • Description:

      Routine where one player is boasting from the back corners and the other player is playing straight drives from the front two corners.

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes then change position

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:Coach feeds the ball with a boast for the player to hit cross court drives from the front. Start with an easy high boast and then gradually make it harder as practice continues. 3 minutes each side

    • Exercise Notes: 2 minutes the change positions

    • Minutes on exercise:4:00

    • Description:Routine where both players hit into one back quarter continuously. Make sure to move back to the T to give your partner space to hit their shot. 3 minutes on each side

    • Exercise Notes:4 minutes each side

    • Description:Routine where players hit a straight drive, a straight drive and then a cross court drive in that order. 4 minutes

    • Exercise Notes:2 minutes of hitting crosscourt from one side then swap

    • Minutes on exercise:4:00

    • Description:Coach feeds an easy straight front court shot slightly out to the middle and stand against the wall. Player to hit a straight drop from that angle. 3 minutes each side

    • Exercise Notes:2 minutes each side

      In this pairs practice both players can play any short volley before playing a cross court, shoulder height feed to their partner.

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes each side

    • Description:Conditioned game where you can hit anywhere in the court but there are shoes positioned two feet behinds the back of the service box. If you hit a shoe, you immediately win the point and/or bonus points. 4 minutes

    • Exercise Notes:Play to 11

    • Minutes on exercise:7:00

    • Description:Conditioned game where you can hit anywhere in the court but there are shoes positioned 4/5 feet off the front wall. If you hit a shoe, you immediately win the point and/or bonus points. 4 minutes

    • Exercise Notes:Play to 11

    • Minutes on exercise:4:00

    • Description:Conditioned game where the player stand in the opposite front two quarters and hit into the area their opponent is standing. Serve is a boast and remember to use the whole quarter. 3 minutes each side

    • Exercise Notes:Play to 14, swap at 7
