Training /  Pairs - Practising boasts (40 mins)

    • Description:

      Player 1 boasts from the back and player 2 hits a straight drop and then straight drives his own shot. Player 1 then straight drives - repeat

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes in each position

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:

      Both players drive with option of hitting a boast. when the boast is hit the other player has to hit a crosscourt drive back into the same corner.

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes each side

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:Player 1 boasts or drops, Player 2 hits a straight drive from the front.

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes at the front and back of the court

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:

      Player 1 serves, Player 2 hits anywhere short, Player 1 counters anywhere short and then Player 2 can hit the ball anywhere long and continue pattern.

    • Exercise Notes:Play for 5 minutes

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:

      Game up one side but with option of a boast from the back corner, which has to be dropped then cross courted back into the same corner - no volleying the cross court

    • Exercise Notes:Play for 3 minutes each side

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:Ball must land behind the half court line with only the option to boast as an attacking shot to the front.

    • Exercise Notes:Play for 5 minutes

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:Ball must land behind the half court line with only 3 shots per rally allowed to land short of the line

    • Exercise Notes:Play for 5 minutes

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:Normal game but the ball is not allowed to hit the back wall after bouncing - player trying to retrieve the ball loses the rally. If the ball hits on the fly, play on.

    • Exercise Notes:Play for 5 minutes
