Training /  Threes - Improving your volley (30 mins)

    • Description:2 players in the back two corners hitting boasts with one player move side to side at the front playing straight drives. Rotate clockwise.

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes in each position

    • Minutes on exercise:9:00

    • Description:All players play straight drives moving around each other into the same corner with option of a boast which then has to be crosscourt lobbed. The next player should always be looking for the volley straight.

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes on both sides

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:All players play straight drives moving around each other into the same corner with option of a straight volley drop which then has to be hit straight and deep.

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes on each sides

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:All players play straight drives moving around each other into the same corner with option of a volley boast which then has to be straight dropped and then driven straight deep therefore changing the side.

    • Exercise Notes:5 minutes - this is an intense movement drill

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:All players play straight drives moving around each other into the same corner with option of a volley cross court nick which then has to be crosscourt lobbed. The next player should always be looking for the volley straight.

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes on each side

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:Normal game but the ball is not allowed to hit the back wall after bouncing - player trying to retrieve the ball loses the rally. If the ball hits on the fly, play on.

    • Exercise Notes: 3rd person stands next to door. Winner stays on. Play for 5 minutes

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00
