Training /  Pairs - Improving your volley (40 mins)

    • Description:Standing in or behind the service box volley the ball high across court to each other

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes on forehand and backhand

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:Standing in or behind the service box Player 1 volleys the ball high to themself and then across court to Player 2. Player 2 then does the same.

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes on forehand and backhand

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:Player 1 boasts, Player 2 crosscourt lobs, Player 1 Straight Volley drives. Repeat.

    • Exercise Notes:3 minutes on each side

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:Player 1 straight drives, Player 2 straight drives, Player 1 plays a crosscourt drive to change the side and repeat.

    • Exercise Notes:4 minutes total, ensure both players have opportunity to cross court on each side.

    • Minutes on exercise:4:00

    • Description:Game where the ball has to hit the front wall above the service line but if you volley the shot can go anywhere in the court.

    • Exercise Notes:Play for 5 minutes

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:Game where the first bounce has to be behind the half court line but if you volley the shot can go anywhere in the court. Players have the option of counter dropping one volley drop.

    • Exercise Notes:Play for 5 minutes

    • Description:Game where the first bounce has to be behind the half court line but a player can go short on the volley if in front of their opponent

    • Exercise Notes:Play for 5 minutes

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:Normal game but with shoes positioned in both back corners. If you hit the shoe, you get extra points.

    • Exercise Notes:Play for 5 minutes
