Training /  Zero to Hero: Advanced solo volley practice (25 mins)

    • Description:

       

      Focus on the primary technical elements of the volley, thinking about timing, footwork, & racket preparation. The more proficient you become, the less rapid movements you should find yourself having to make. 

    • Exercise Notes:Work for 3mins on the FH, and 3mins on the BH

      This is a great exercise to do when you have developed the appropriate level of ball control. Focus on making the ball come back to the same spot so that you don't have to move your feet too much. 

    • Exercise Notes:Three minutes stood just in front of the T

    • Description:

       

      Start at the front of court and work your way to the back of the service box, before moving forward again. Think about altering the size of your swing depending on where you are in the court. 

    • Exercise Notes:Work for 3mins on the FH, and 3mins on the BH

    • Minutes on exercise:6:00

    • Description:

       

      This is a tough exercise that requires a full swing to get the ball to the back. Make sure your shoulders are facing the sidewall as you hit the ball and avoid over rotation.

    • Description:

       

      This is a good exercise for developing an open racket face as well as improving your ball control. It's also good fun.

    • Exercise Notes:Work for 3mins, if to challenging you can let the ball bounce
