Training /  Zero to Hero: Solo volley practice (30mins)

    • Description:

      Focus on the primary technical elements of the volley, thinking about timing, footwork, & racket preparation. Aim to keep the volleys soft & high to start with, gradually increasing the pace as you improve

    • Exercise Notes:Work for 3mins on the FH, and 3mins on the BH

      Stand approximately two racket lengths from the front corner and try to develop a rhythm that sees the ball hitting front wall, side wall, side wall, front wall. 

    • Exercise Notes:Keep your swing short and try to open the racket face to increase ball control.

      Feed yourself so that you can play a volley drop from just in front of the short line. Do three minutes each side before switching. 

    • Exercise Notes:Open your racket face when playing the drop. Put a target down to focus the mind.
