      Volleying the ball with lots of control is a useful skill to get the feel for the ball on the strings which will ultimately help you serve with more accuracy and consistency. When you have control do this drill further back in the court

    • Exercise Notes:Keep the ball alive and accurate with lots of control and work on getting the ball higher and deeper the more able you become with this drill

      As per the previous drill, becoming proficient on your volleys will help the quality of your serve. Do this drill and look to play around with the height and pace on the front wall when you become more proficient at it 

    • Exercise Notes:Focus on rhythm, timing and control to start and then start to experiment with different paces and heights when you are feeling more confident

      The ability to lob the ball with high levels of control is essential for becoming more accurate and consistent with your serve. This drill will help you get the feel, pace and angles correct with your execution of your lob

    • Exercise Notes:Do 20 lobs on one side and then swap over

    • Description:

      As per the previous drill for lobs, rather than lobbing from the front, now play 3 consecutive volleys to yourself and then on the 4th shot execute a volley cross court lob. You can be quite creative and open with this drill if necessary
