Training /  Solo - How To Take Control Of Your Game with Lee Drew

    • Description:

A solid starting drill (adapt to an easier one to suit your level) in order to get the swing repeatable and consistent. As you are doing it think if you can play a range of shots from each position

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 2.5mins on each side of the court

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:

Now adding in the option of boasting the ball when it comes off the back wall. See if you can have the same swing for both shots and practice stillness over the ball when you are hitting

    • Exercise Notes:Do for a total of 5mins

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:

Similar to the previous drill, but now mixing in the cross court RATHER than the boast. Again it's about setting up the same with a repeatable swing and having a position where it's hard to see what is coming

    • Exercise Notes:Do for a total of 5mins

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:

Use this drill to groove a very solid volley drop off a cross court feed. Look to have a repeatable and consistent swing as well as having stillness when you come to make contact

    • Exercise Notes:Do for a total of 5mins swapping each shot

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:

The same set up as the last drill but not play EITHER a straight drop OR a straight drive. The idea is to have exactly the same set up and working on controlling the ball, your body, and your swing on each shot

    • Exercise Notes:Do for a total of 5mins swapping each shot

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:

Use a warm ball! Feed yourself a boast and approach the ball with balance and control in the body and the lunge. Have a repeatable swing for each drop. If you feel good start to add in a straight drive option also

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 5mins in total

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00
