    • Description:

      Use this drill to get used to varying your drives and in particular pay attention to the lifting from the back in order to defend effectively. To adapt you could play several low drives in a row followed by several lifts in a row

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 2.5mins on each side of the court

    • Description:

      Using straight drives off the back wall, when appropriate look to practise the high drift lift to the opposite side of the court. Continue on the opposite side after playing the high drift shot

    • Description:

      Starting easier, feed yourself a drop and practise the cross court lob to the opposite back corner. To make more difficult feed the drop better as well as starting deeper in the court

    • Description:

      Working on being able to counter a drop with another drop. Start easy and look to progress to higher and more challenging feeds and court positions when feeling comfortable

    • Description:

      Using this drill BUT adding in the volley cross court lob when it feels appropriate. A good skill to learn to lift and drift the ball high to the opposite back corner

    • Description:

      Adding to this drill, when you have attacked the ball in short, try and collect the next shot with a DEFENSIVE shot such as a lob or counter drop
