Training /  Solo - Shortening the Backswing (30mins)

    • Description:

A great solo drill for players to work on shortening their backswing and keeping good ball control. Ramy changed the game with how short his swing was and how much power he was able to generate

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 2.5 mins on each side

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:

A high level ball control solo with the focus on short backswings, racket head and grip adaptation. Ramy was know as The Artist and this drill needs to feel quite flowing and creative to achieve success

    • Exercise Notes:Try and achieve 10 without dropping the ball, increase the pace once you can get 10 with no mistakes

    • Minutes on exercise:5:00

    • Description:

Tapping into what Peter said about Ramy and his unstructured solo, this is a great way to practise ball skills with an open context and more random feeding. Do both on the volley and the bounce and keep relatively unstructured

    • Exercise Notes:This solo should have a very open and unstructured feel to it accessing all parts of the court and variation of shots

    • Minutes on exercise:20:00
