    • Description:

      Drill where one players hit a straight drop from the back corner and the other player hits a straight drive from the front corner

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 2.5mins in each position then swap. Do on both sides of the court

    • Description:

      Back player drives the ball to themselves then hits a straight drop. Front player collects the drop with a counter drop to themselves and returns this shot with a straight drive

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 2.5mins in each position then swap. Do on both sides of the court

    • Description:

      Both players now working on hitting a good deep length so you can move around each other back to the T. Focus on rhythm and timing of the drill to get lots of repetition

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 5mins on one side and then swap

    • Description:

      Breaking the session up and adding a physical edge to what you are doing, both players will be doing court sprints. You need to be fit to play squash and nothing much better than court sprints to aid this as it's very squash specific

    • Exercise Notes:Do 20 court sprints in under 1min

    • Minutes on exercise:1:00

    • Description:

      Progressing to a repeating pattern of long, long, short for both players now. Focus on getting a really good length behind the back of the service box to allow the drill to flow

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 5mins on one side and then swap

    • Minutes on exercise:10:00

    • Description:

      Now with the cross court some angles will be brought into play. Repeat the pattern of straight, straight, cross court drive focussing on getting the ball deep and volleying when appropriate

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 5mins and then swap the side the cross court is played from

    • Minutes on exercise:10:00

    • Description:

      Progress to a full and open game after all the drills and see if some of the feeling and technique can be integrated

    • Exercise Notes:Play 1 game to 11 points. Volley return of serve is NOT compulsory

      Bring your session to a close with this little burner to make you earn your drink afterwards

    • Exercise Notes:Do 20 court sprints in under 1min. Complete 2 sets in total with 1min rest between sets
