Training /  Pairs - Forehand attacking options practice (40mins)

    • Description:

      Routine where one player hits a drive from the back FH corner, then hits a straight FH drop. The other player hits straight FH drop from the front corner, then FH drive. Focus on getting on the ball quickly at the front, playing the drop early

    • Exercise Notes:Work for 4mins, and then switch positions with your partner

    • Minutes on exercise:8:00

    • Description:

      Same as the 1st routine, but this time the player at the front has option to drop to themselves then drive, OR they can just play the drive straight away without the drop first. Focus on consistent preparation, and introducing hold into the swing<

    • Exercise Notes:Work for 4mins, and then switch positions with your partner

    • Minutes on exercise:8:00

    • Description:

      Same as 2nd routine, but this time player at the front has option to drop then drive, OR play the drive straight away without the drop first, OR now play the trickle boast then drive. Focus on consistent preparation, and hold in the swing

    • Exercise Notes:Work for 4mins, and then switch positions with your partner

    • Minutes on exercise:8:00

    • Description:

      Play a condition game where you have to hit deep, then deep again, then short, then short again, as shown in video. Focus on variation on the 2nd short ball in particular, using a mix of straight drops, crosscourt drops, & trickle boasts<

    • Exercise Notes:Finish the session with a best of 3 condition game to 11 points
