      A basic drill to start but one in which you can now practice and focus on deception with your racket as well as your movement 

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 2.5mins in each position then swap and then swap sides of the court

      A perfect drill to work on deception as you now have 2-shots to choose from and see if you can set up very similar for each one so your opponent will find it difficult to spot what you are doing

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 5mins in each position then swap

    • Description:

      Again, a simple drill but one that can be used to hone in the deception element of your games. Try and use the boast at the correct time with a little disguise to send your opponent the wrong way

    • Exercise Notes:Do for a total of 10mins

    • Description:

      Both players are forced to hit each shot differently to the last so this is a time to try and work on deception within this game

    • Exercise Notes:Play first to 15 points

    • Minutes on exercise:10:00

    • Description:

      Both players can practice their deception now but there will be a limit on the straight hitter. This means that this player needs to exercise even more deception in order to be effective 

    • Exercise Notes:Play first to 11 points and then swap the task

    • Minutes on exercise:15:00

    • Description:

      Setting up this game in the deep alley, players should look to use deception to boast. Also off the boast the player in the front can use deception to go long or short as well
