Training /  Fours - group practise session (40mins)

    • Description:

      Working with 2 players down each side wall, the player at the back is volley dropping with the player at the front is lifting and lobbing the ball back. A great rhythmical drill for all players to get warm and get a feel for the court

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 2.5mins in each position and then swap. Once done one side then swap sides of the court and repeat

    • Description:

      A brilliant ball control exercise to develop the volley, ball control and quick hands. One player is behind while the other is in front doing continuous volleys to each other. The same pair would be working down the opposite wall

    • Exercise Notes:Do for 2.5mins in each position and then swap. Once done one side then swap sides of the court and repeat

    • Description:

      A more explosive and progressive drill, both players are playing rolling drives and have the options to straight volley kill. At the same time the other pair is working on the opposite side of the court. Be sure to stay out of each others way

    • Exercise Notes:Play for 5mins on one side and then switch sides and repeat

    • Minutes on exercise:10:00

    • Description:

      Now being competitive, both pairs are playing an alley game down the side walls. Keep the score and be sure to keep the ball within the width of the service box. Also be aware of other players and be safe during this game

    • Exercise Notes:Play first to 15 points and then swap sides. You could also swap partners and repeat this game for a 2nd and even 3rd round
