I moved to Mid Wales 17 years ago and was shocked to see the lack of squash activity. Guess at that time I was a fit and enthusiastic hacker having taken up Squash at age 37.
I decided it would be good to teach kids to play squash in my retirement so I formed Dysynni Squash Club and obtained my Squash Wales level 2 and UKCC level 1 qualifications. Realising that my knowledge of coaching skills and my own technique needed to improve I joined SquashSkills.
Over 400 young people have now experienced our great sport and two made National Squad and several more played for North Wales. My top girl is now UKCC level 2 and coaching whilst at University.
I am thankful to SquashSkills for their help I making coaching sessions more professional!
