Guide to session planning

26th September 2018

SquashSkills is designed to give anyone the chance to learn from some of the best coaches in the world through the weekly playlists.

However, the platform has much more power beyond just offering video coaching content.

The squash session section gives you the chance to find pre-made sessions that allow you to focus on certain aspects of your game. The sessions on offer include solo practices, pairs, 3’s and groups. Use the drop-down to find what you’re looking for.

You can also use the drop-downs to find the area of the game you want to work on, a specific shot or different skill levels.

When you have found a session you like the look of you are able to click on the thumbnail and find out the specifics.

From this point you can click the ‘play session’ button to watch how to do each of the exercises that are listed.

When you are confident that you understand each exercise you can either view the session on a phone or tablet in this format or hit the download PDF button to give you a printable version.

You can add the session to your own personal calendar or hit the share button and send it to a training partner or coach.

Should you wish to make changes to the session and adapt it to your needs, you can hit the yellow ‘Edit in planner’ button and personalise it to your needs. Check out the related blog on how to build and create your own custom sessions here.

If you have any questions about the pre-made sessions please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can help you get started.
