In our SquashSkills ‘Circuit of the Month’ series we bring you a brand new squash-specific conditioning session every 4 weeks, to help freshen up your physical training and give you some ideas for new exercises and training methods.
Circuits are a fantastic method of training for the squash player, perfect to use to optimise available time and to get maximum impact from your workouts.
For August’s circuit, we’ve got a multi-element session combining speed, power, and endurance, to help boost your fitness ready for a return to squash!
For the circuit you’ll work through 3 different exercises, taking a minute break between each. The duration of each exercise is slightly different, as each drill focuses on a separate element of your fitness.
There’s no additional rest included at the end of each cycle of the 3 exercises – the 1min rest period is maintained throughout. You’ll go on and complete a total of 4, 6, or 8 sets depending on your level of conditioning.
